Jim Kessler

Principal, J2

Jim Kessler brings over 25 years of construction and consulting experience to the J2 Building Consultants team. As a Principal at J2 Building Consultants, Jim oversees operations in J2's western region and ensures excellence in all multifamily, commercial, retail, industrial, apartment, and condominium repair projects in Washington, Utah, and Oregon. Jim leads building envelope investigations, performs specialty tests like infrared surveys and window testing, conducts condition assessments, leads large-scale repair projects, and trains J2's project management team in all of these services.

His sense of hospitality during difficult repair projects and his passion for bringing help, hope, and happiness to each person in the buildings we treat make him a true Building Doctor. As part-owner of J2, Jim's commitment to his clients is evident, and he has made it his personal mission to contribute to the success of every aspect of J2's vision. Through his strategic implementation, daily oversight, team leadership, and navigation of J2’s most complex projects, Jim embodies each of J2's core values.

Craig Munford

Founder & CEO, Clearcut

Craig Munford brings over 30 years of construction experience, beginning in roofing and expanding into all facets of the industry. As a former Vice President of an insurance restoration company, he earned certifications in Water Restoration (WRT) and Mold Remediation (MRS). Craig later founded Clearcut Building Solutions, a trusted general contracting firm specializing in HOA and multi-family defect repair with a deep focus on exterior envelope systems. He has successfully led Clearcut as CEO for over 12 years and remains energized by the company’s continued growth and contribution to the construction industry. His hands-on expertise in identifying and resolving complex envelope issues paired with his ability to collaborate with property managers, boards, and residents has become a defining strength of Clearcut’s approach.

Craig is a dedicated father of six, proud grandpa to two, and the caretaker of a lively menagerie that includes four dogs, 65 cows, eight horses, four pigs, 18 chickens, and three fainting goats.

He is a certified inspector with WRT, AMRT, and SAD certifications and is also a Licensed General Contractor.
