With over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Jens is a building envelope expert, speaker, and author. His passion lies in diagnosing hidden issues that threaten a structure’s integrity and designing tailored solutions to fortify buildings against moisture, weather, and long-term wear. Jens has worked extensively with community managers, condominium boards, and commercial building owners, helping them address complex challenges like water intrusion, facade deterioration, and roofing system failures. Because of this experience, Jens also serves as an expert witness in construction cases and insurance claims, resolving construction-related disputes.
With decades of experience in building consulting, Jens is known for his meticulous inspections and practical solutions. He has guided countless HOAs through complex repair projects and developed strategies to extend the lifespan of critical building components. Jens brings deep technical expertise and a passion for helping clients navigate the challenges of property maintenance, ensuring stronger, more resilient buildings.

Jason, a Partner at VF-Law, chairs the firm’s Community Association Practice Group, acts as general counsel for numerous condominium and homeowners associations in Oregon and Washington. He represents community associations in HOA and condominium law, construction defect litigation, real estate, governance, and insurance matters. Jason serves on multiple legislative committees and educates community associations through CAI, OWCAM and VF classes.
With VF-Law since 2003, he builds strong relationships through honest advice, professionalism, and a friendly approach, fostering productive negotiations. Outside work, he enjoys traveling, skiing, diving, and family time.
